What is a portrait?
Portraiture is an old form of art going back at least to ancient Egypt. Before the invention of photography, a painted, sculpted, or drawn portrait was the only way that you could record what someone Looked like. Most portraits were used as a way to show a number of different things such as to show the power, importance, beauty, wealth, to name a few.
This Mind map is a few ideas that I had that could work for this project. I wanted to get a range of ideas that all could possibly work for the project.

The idea that I am most drawn to the idea is that of doing a shoot at an allotment, the reason for this is because I feel that the people that have allotment have a story to tell, and that the simplicity of the shoot will help to bring out the emotion and the detail would be very pretty.
